ACAT Members
Our members are either student practitioners or fully qualified practitioners in a complementary animal therapy, apart from our Friends of ACAT who very kindly support us.
ACAT was originally founded as an association to support students and graduates of the Institute of Complementary Therapies (ICAT) and automatically accepts ICAT trained applicants.
ICAT is the original established training centre in the UK for both equine massage and canine massage courses. ICAT have been proud to work with a nationally recognised awarding body since 2015 and now work with OCNL, who externally accredit all courses ensuring quality management.
You can learn more about the courses here:
Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation
Canine Remedial Massage and Rehabilitation
Equine Physical Therapy and Myopractics
Although ACAT has a strong affinity with ICAT and with equine and canine massage, we do accept members with other massage qualifications from different training schools and therapists from different therapy modalities, subject to meeting ACAT's qualification standards.
